100 Glorious years of Sindhi Stage

Drama Festival

On the occasion of 100 glorious years of Sindhi Stage, Sahyog Foundation, a socio-cultural organization, has organized a "Drama Festival" on December 29, 1994, at Tejpal Auditorium, according to its Chairman, Mr. Ram Jawhrani.

The first Sindhi Drama "Nal Damyanti", written by Master Jethanand Khilanmal Bhiryani, was staged by the Sind College Dramatic Society in the year 1894.

On the occasion, three eminent personalities of the Sindhi stage, Messrs Gobind Malhi, Ramesh Janjani and S.P. Menghani, would be felicitated with Sahyog Awards.

Shri Nana Chudasama, former Sheriff of Bombay, will preside over the function and Shri G.P. Sippy, Film Producer, will be the Chief Guest.

Three One Act plays shall be staged at the drama festival, Mr. Jawhrani said.
